GOTT GOTT-CBT-MAIN Computer Based Training System (CBT) (Main module)

PLATFORMS : 

(1) Stand - Alone version which stores records in MS Access database. 

(2) Network Based version which stores records in MySQL database

FEATURES

The features of the main modules includes : 

1. Question setting, registered students can access this CBT, can easily understand by the students and can easily answer their questions. 

2. A student can also able to take print out and see the result. 

3. A student can also re-do the assessment when necessary. 4. This is a system oriented module which allows only the administrator to back up the MS-Access or MySQL database when necessary.

SUB -MODULES

1 ) STUDENT SETUP

 This is a student-oriented module which offers a way for either Administrator or Lecturers to organize the enrolled students' profile as well as assessment records for future reference.

2 ) GROUP SETUP 

This is a student-oriented module which provides an option for Administrator or Lecturers to setup / bond a particular group of students with specific number of courses available.

3 ) STUDENT HISTORY 

This is a student-oriented module which enables the Administrator or Lecturers to search for the previous done assessment records of the enrolled students. With this module, a student is also able to print out the successful searching result .

4 ) QUESTION SETTING 

This is a lecturer-oriented module which demonstrates a way for either Administrator or Lecturers to set up the evaluation tests or examinations questions correspondence to available chapters or topics. With this module, one is able to print out the selected set of questions .

5 ) EXAM RELEASE 

This is a lecturer-oriented module which introduces an option for Administrator or Lecturers to release the done assessments of students in order to allow those students to re-sit or re-do the assessments when necessary.

6 ) LECTURER SETUP 

This is a lecturer-oriented module which allows only the Administrator to organize the lecturers' profile for future reference.

7 ) PASSWORD RECOVERY 

This is a system-oriented module which allows only the Administrator to recover the passwords of students or lecturers based on the password recovery questions set previously.

8 ) BACKUP 

This is a system-oriented module which allows only the Administrator to backup the MS Access or MySQL database when necessary.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

• Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (SP2), Windows XP Professional SP2, Windows XP Tablet PC Edition SP2 or other latest version of Windows 

• Processor: 1.5 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 

• Random Access Memory: 256 MB or higher 

• Free Hard Disk Space: 1 gigabytes (GB) or higher 

• Optical Drive: CD drive or DVD drive 

• Sound Card: 16-bit sound card or higher 

• Sound Output Device: Speakers or headset 

• Monitor: Super VGA (800 x 600) resolution or higher

* Remark: This student and course management modules are the main modules for GOTT -CBT which acts as the platform for other course modules to be able to run. Recently, there are 5 course modules designed to be integrated with this main module; such as Telecommunication, Mobile Communication, Synchronous Transmission, Communication Networks and Digital Communication (For further information, please refer to the detail catalog for each course module following this). The number of modules can be increased in future.
