All you need to know about fiber optic cable welding machines

06/26/2024 11:25:47

Maybe you already know that fiber optic welding machines are used to reconnect broken fiber optic cables, but perhaps you haven't discovered all the smart features of this device. In this article EMIN will share some useful information about modern fiber optic cable welding machines, let's refer to it!

How will the fiber optic cable welding machine work?

Fiber optic cable welding machines operate quite simply, but no rudimentary equipment or tools can replace it. This is the outstanding difference of fiber optic cable welding machines. The fiber optic cable is made from high-quality glass fibers. When broken, the fiber optic cable welding machine will melt these two glass fibers at a temperature of over 1000 degrees Celsius. This process uses two arc discharge poles between the electrodes. pole to melt and weld them together.

Currently, there are many types of fiber optic cables such as SM(ITU-T G.652&G.657), MM(ITU-T G.651), DS(ITU-T G.653), and NZDS(ITU-T G. 655). Connecting two ends of the same type of cable is quite simple, but not every welding machine can do it when connecting two cables of different types. However, high-end fiber optic cable welding machines with advanced technology can now easily solve this problem.

What is special about the structure of the fiber optic cable welding machine?

Currently, there are many lines of fiber optic cable welding machines with different designs and structures, but they all have the following main parts:

-Arc discharge block: Consists of two pairs of opposing electrodes and a high-voltage generating circuit to generate heat.

-Firing block: Includes a specialized heat shrink tube part with a firing temperature of 150 - 200 degrees.

-Lens: Helps observe, magnify fibers and transmit fiber position information, supporting the welding machine in aligning and welding more accurately.

-Alignment system: After identifying the cable position from the lens, this system will perform alignment of the fiber position.

How to use fiber optic cable welding machine properly

The fiber optic cable welding machine is evaluated with many smart features, providing the most optimal user support. If you operate the machine properly, the job becomes very simple

First, the necessary tools to prepare include: precision cutter, striping pliers, heat shrink tube, cleaning alcohol and cleaning paper.

Start by separating the fiber optic cable, removing about 30mm of the cable cover, leaving only the bare fiber. Then, insert the heat shrink tube into the fiber and use soft paper soaked in alcohol to remove dirt on the fiber body. Next, use a cutter to precisely cut the optical fiber, keeping the bare optical segment 10 - 20mm long.

Place the cut fiber into the V-groove so that it does not exceed the intersection between the two electrodes, then close the machine lid and start. The machine will automatically perform the welding process.

Finally, when the welding process is completed, the machine will proceed to heat shrink tube to complete.

Choose a good machine

To choose a quality fiber optic welding machine product, you need to have specific evaluation criteria. Some important criteria that cannot be ignored include: weld loss level, technology used, machine model and brand, price criteria and machine durability. These factors will help you make the correct decision when choosing to buy a fiber optic welding machine.

Where to buy a good price fiber optic welding machine?

On the market today, there are many reputable distributors and suppliers of fiber optic welding machines. However, it is impossible to avoid counterfeit products, counterfeit goods, old goods with replacement parts, and floating around. So please be careful before buying, EMIN is a distributor of fiber optic welding machines. When purchasing at EMIN, we will provide full paperwork, order declaration, 100% genuine products, and delivery. Currently, counterfeit goods will refund customers 200% of the order value.

Electrical safety is consistently one of the primary criteria evaluated before electrical or electronic equipment—or industrial components—are released to the market. A product may operate reliably yet still fail to meet requirements if its insulation lacks sufficient durability, its grounding resistance exceeds permissible limits, or leakage current occurs during operation.

Voltmeters are almost invariably found on the panels of electrical cabinets in factories, power stations, or generator systems. A glance lasting just a few seconds allows an operator to determine whether the power supply is stable or showing signs of abnormality. However, not everyone understands the significance of the displayed readings, particularly regarding three-phase electrical systems.

Few people realize that the concept of the "Hipot Test"—or electrical safety testing—has long existed within the electrical equipment manufacturing industry. Driven by the growing need to verify the voltage withstand capabilities of conductors, motors, and electrical devices, the industry required a robust and virtually fail-safe method to detect insulation weaknesses before products reached the market.
