To share knowledge about testing equipment and testing solutions in the power and energy sector, PONOVO organized a product training session at the EMIN Vietnam office on July 9, 2026.

Founded in 2001 in Beijing, China, PONOVO is a reputable company specializing in power testing, monitoring, and simulation solutions. Its product portfolio covers a wide range of applications, including smart grid testing (new energy/microgrids, ultra-high voltage, substations, and smart transmission), electric transportation testing (electric vehicles and rail transportation), industrial power testing (aviation, aerospace, petrochemicals, metallurgy, coal, and marine applications), and smart power testing (EV charging stations, energy storage systems, and smart electricity meters).

PONOVO products are highly regarded by industry professionals and have received recognition for their quality in both domestic and international markets. The products comply with relevant IEC standards and have obtained certifications including PCCC, CE, GS, and UL.

Key PONOVO Product Categories

PONOVO's product portfolio includes several major product groups:

  • Relay and protection system testing equipment: L336i, L336EXi, PW336i, PW636i, PW866i, PNS330i, and other series.

  • IEC 61850 digital substation testing equipment.

  • CT/PT testing and primary current injection equipment: including the PCT200 and T1000 series.

  • Power amplifiers and power system simulation equipment.

  • EV and EV charging station testing equipment: including the CPAD100i.

  • Specialized testing equipment for railway systems, fault location, and power semiconductor devices.

The training session focused on PONOVO's testing equipment ecosystem, covering applications ranging from protection relay and CT/PT testing to IEC 61850 digital substation testing and power system simulation.

In addition to hardware, PONOVO also develops software solutions to support the testing process. PowerTest is the software platform used with PONOVO's three-phase and six-phase relay test equipment. For newer generations of equipment, such as the L336EXi, PW366Ai, and PNS330i, PONOVO has introduced PowerTest Int V7.0, a common software platform designed to support multiple testing systems.

The combination of signal generation equipment, control software, and automated testing modules helps technicians reduce manual operations, standardize testing procedures, and simplify the storage and management of test results.

Through the training session, the EMIN team gained a better understanding of the configuration, functions, and application scope of different PONOVO product groups. This knowledge will help EMIN provide more effective consulting and recommend suitable testing solutions for customers in the power and electrical engineering sectors.

What Is a VLF Very Low Frequency AC Voltage Tester ?
08/26/2026 11:02:45

A VLF very low frequency AC voltage tester is used to assess the insulation condition of cables, transformers, and certain high-voltage electrical equipment. The equipment generates AC test voltage at a very low frequency, typically in the range of 0.05 Hz to 0.1 Hz as referenced in technical sources. This method is particularly useful for testing capacitive loads, such as power cables and certain high-voltage equipment.
